Brookes is a born and raised Floridian. She attended undergraduate and graduate school at the University of North Florida. She spent her first 10 years as a nurse in pediatrics, with a focus on critical care. After receiving her graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner 8 years ago she has been practicing in aesthetic medicine in facial plastic surgery. Brookes spends most of her time with her husband and three young children. She loves a good cup of coffee, being active outdoors, and escaping to the beach whenever she can.
