How it works
Filler is placed deep on the bone or cartilage in tiny amounts. The nose has a rich blood supply with links to the eye, so this needs an experienced injector and a slow, careful technique.
Four illustrative steps. Select a step to highlight it; the optional anatomy view explains the same mechanism.
Recovery, in practical terms
Mild swelling for 1 to 3 days.
What it can feel like: Mild to moderate.
What people discuss
A small bump, a droopy tip, minor asymmetry.
Reasons to pause
A previous rhinoplasty with poor blood supply, or wanting a smaller nose.
This list is not exhaustive. A clinician must assess your health, medications, skin and goals.
Risks worth understanding
- A higher-than-average risk of a blocked vessel, which can threaten the skin or vision
- Swelling and bruising
Ask your clinician
- How many nose filler treatments have you done, and how do you manage an occlusion?
US status: dermal filler injection into the nose is not FDA-approved. The nose is a high-risk vascular area; discuss alternatives and product-specific labeling with an appropriately trained clinician.
