About ClearV Laser

Overview

Sciton’s ClearV Nd-YAG technology is recognized as the leading solution for effectively and comfortably addressing vascular skin issues on all skin types throughout the year. This advanced treatment targets and eliminates problematic vessels without harming the surrounding skin. ClearV uses focused heat to remove broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions, and skin discoloration. With its innovative SVI feature, practitioners can enhance visibility and treat hidden subsurface veins at the touch of a button. By utilizing two colors of light and offering multiple brightness levels, ClearV allows for tailored color blending to ensure precise treatment of targeted areas.

Advantages

ClearV treatment of unwanted microvessels and stubborn subsurface vessels gradually diminish in visibility. The procedure effectively removes broken capillaries, spider veins, and vascular lesions. A key benefit of the system is its customizable spot size, which can be easily adjusted between 2-10mm using the touch display’s adjustable ring. This feature allows for enhanced precision and flexibility during treatment. Furthermore, patient safety and comfort are ensured with an integrated sapphire cooling tip that maintains optimal temperatures of 5-25˚C throughout the treatment, improving both effectiveness and the overall patient experience.

– Quick Recovery: Most patients can resume normal activities right after.
– Customizable:Subsurface Vein Illumination (SVI) targets deeper veins with adjustable settings.
-Wide Compatibility: Suitable for various skin tones.

– Temporary Side Effects: Mild redness, swelling, or bruising can occur.
-Not for Everyone: Consult a doctor if on blood thinners, pregnant, or have large varicose veins.

What to Expect

During a ClearV laser treatment, you may experience mild redness, swelling, and a sensation similar to a sunburn around the treated veins, which typically resolves within 24-48 hours. Initially the treatment takes 30 mins and treated veins might appear more prominent, but they will gradually fade over the following weeks, with many patients able to return to their normal activities almost immediately.

Recovery

After treatment, it is common to see a “cat scratch” appearance with some redness and swelling, and you might feel a warm or slightly stinging sensation. Mild side effects like redness, bruising, and swelling are expected and usually dissipate within a few days.

Results

To achieve the best results, most patients typically need a series of up to six treatments. These sessions are generally scheduled 4-6 weeks apart. It’s important to consult with a qualified practitioner to review your medical history and post-treatment care for optimal outcomes.

Initially, you may notice that treated areas appear more pronounced, exhibiting redness, purple hues, or bruising. However, this discoloration usually fades within a week, leading to a reduction in the visibility of veins or lesions.

Safety Profile

Nd:YAG lasers are known for being “pigment-friendly,” making them suitable for treating all skin types and tones. Their longer wavelengths and extended pulse durations help minimize the risk of skin damage.

To ensure safety, it is recommended to conduct a test spot on patients with olive, brown, or deep skin tones. This precaution helps determine if they are suitable candidates for treatment. Overall, Nd:YAG lasers provide an effective solution for a diverse range of skin tones.

Cost

The cost of ClearV laser treatment ranges from $500 to $750 per session. However, this price may vary based on factors such as geographical location, the expertise of the provider, and the specific area being treated.
