Dr. Mitchell was born in Houston, Texas. He pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, earning a degree in Biomedical Engineering. His journey into medicine continued at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, where he not only distinguished himself academically but also met his wife, Rachel, an esteemed ER doctor. Dr. Mitchell’s residency in plastic surgery was completed at both the University of Tennessee and Indiana University. Here, he received comprehensive training in all areas of plastic surgery, including complex cancer reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, and pediatric plastic surgery. His dedication to aesthetic surgery led him to seek further specialization, culminating in an advanced aesthetic surgery fellowship at Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery. Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Mitchell is a passionate cyclist and a dedicated, albeit less avid, runner. He has participated in numerous bike races, triathlons, and marathons. He and Rachel are the proud parents of three children: Abby, Casey, and Sydney. Dr. Mitchell’s unwavering commitment to excellence, combined with his extensive training and compassionate patient care, has established him as a trusted and highly respected plastic surgeon in the community.
