How it works
Fine needles create controlled punctures that trigger wound repair. The device, depth, indication and provider training matter. Combination treatments with PRP, exosomes or serums are not established as safe and effective by FDA device clearance.
Four illustrative steps. Select a step to highlight it; the optional anatomy view explains the same mechanism.
Recovery, in practical terms
Red like a sunburn for 1 to 3 days.
What it can feel like: Mild to moderate. Numbing cream.
What people discuss
Acne scars, enlarged pores, early lines, all skin tones.
Reasons to pause
Active acne, eczema or infection in the area, keloid history.
This list is not exhaustive. A clinician must assess your health, medications, skin and goals.
Risks worth understanding
- Redness
- Infection if the cartridge is not sterile
- Tramline marks if done too aggressively
Ask your clinician
- What depth for my area?
- Single-use sterile cartridges?
Sources, approval context & editorial limits
FDA clearance is specific to the device, patient age, treatment area and indication; combined products are not covered by device clearance.
Sources support regulatory and safety context; not every efficacy claim or range has been independently verified.
