Microblading with Combo Shading

Is a permanent makeup technique that combines Microblading and powder/shading with a tool.

About Microblading with Combo Shading

Overview
Combination brows are a unique and popular choice for those looking to enhance their eyebrows. This technique involves creating feathered hair strokes from the beginning of the brow to the middle, seamlessly transitioning into a powdered finish towards the tails.

The combination of these two methods results in a beautifully defined look that is not as pronounced in traditional microbladed brows.

By blending the two styles together, individuals can achieve a natural yet bold appearance that accentuates their facial features and adds depth to their overall look.
Advantages

This process guarantees perfect, long-lasting brows that are resistant to smudging. It involves a combination of microblading and combo shading techniques to create a well-defined look. The results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years.

What to Expect
  • Avoid getting a chemical peel 60 days before the appointment
  • Avoid Botox treatments 14 days before
  • Avoid taking ibuprofen, naproxen, vitamin E, fish oil, or blood thinners 14 days before
  • Avoid tanning or sunburn 7 days before

Prior to undergoing the microblading procedure, it is advisable to conduct a patch test if you have any skin allergies or sensitivities. This test should be done one week prior to the full procedure to monitor any potential reactions to the pigments.

On the day of the appointment, the artist will discuss with the client regarding their desired brow goals, outline the shape that is being aimed for, and address any concerns the client may have before commencing the treatment. It is also common practice for the artist to take photos of the client’s brows for reference.

During microblading, the artist uses a tool to make small hair stroke incisions in the skin, followed by depositing pigment with a shading tool. This procedure usually lasts 30 to 45 minutes, with gel lidocaine used to keep the area numb. Afterward, a healing balm is applied to help the recovery process.
Recovery
Here are some general aftercare guidelines:

Please refrain from applying any makeup on the tattooed area for a period of 2 weeks. The use of cosmetics during this time may hinder the healing process and affect the color of your eyebrows.

It is advisable to avoid intense sweating, gym activities, and working out for a period of 7-10 days following your procedure.

Swimming in pools, Jacuzzis, or any other bodies of water should be avoided for a duration of 2 weeks.

For a period of 4 weeks post-procedure, it is recommended to abstain from tinting, bleaching, dyeing, or undergoing a brow lamination.

During the healing process, it is important to use a healing balm

Avoid applying anti-acne products (such as Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Proactiv, etc.) or lightening creams like hydroquinone to the treated area while it is healing.

After a period of 30 days, you may resume your regular skincare routine, including Botox, fillers, and facial treatments.

If you plan to undergo laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician beforehand. These procedures have the potential to alter the color of the tattooed area (proceed with caution).
Results
The complete healing process will span a duration of 4-6 weeks, contingent upon the rate of regeneration of one’s body and their age. Throughout this healing cycle, the newly formed eyebrows will undergo various phases. Following the procedure, the pigment may initially exhibit an unnatural appearance, while on the subsequent day, the pigment’s color may appear significantly darker.

Microblading last 1-3 years.
Safety Profile
  • Risk of infection from improperly sterilized needles
  • Possibility of contracting hepatitis, HIV, or staph infections

  • Development of nodules and keloids around tattoo ink
  • Scratch test to assess likelihood of allergic response

The average cost for microblading and combination brows ranges from $600 to $900. This cost is subject to variation based on the geographical location and expertise of the service provider.
