Also known as daxibotulinumtoxinA-Ianm, Daxxify is the newest neurotoxin released on the market and noted for faster onset than Botox. It is approved for treating various concerns, with some reports suggesting duration up to 6 months.

Advantages

Daxxify has some reports showing that 64% of the people in the study had results lasting up to 6 months, offering a longer-lasting effect than other neurotoxins. However a lot of people who have used Daxxify actually report their results being 1-2 months longer than Botox. Daxxify can be more expensive than Botox or Dysport in some areas.

What to Expect

Daxxify, a product containing botulinum toxin A, sets itself apart from Botox and Dysport by not including any human or animal by-products. Instead, it uses a unique peptide to stabilize the toxin.

Results from Daxxify can be seen within 2 days of treatment, with noticeable reductions in muscle movement in the injected areas.

The recommended dosage is typically higher than Botox, leading to higher treatment costs.

The initial claims of 6-9 months duration has now shifted with Revance Therapeutics, the company behind Daxxify. The new message is leading to a new approach in marketing and injection techniques.

While Daxxify still promises long-lasting results with as few as two treatments per year, it differentiates itself by gradually softening over time instead of a sudden fadeout like other neurotoxins. This difference in effects may have contributed to some initial patient disappointment when trying Daxxify.

Recovery

After receiving Daxxify, patients should avoid touching or massaging the treated areas and refrain from strenuous activities for the first 24 hours to ensure optimal results.
