Forehead filler

Dermal filler injections that enhance forehead shape, reduce wrinkles, improve facial symmetry, and address age-related volume loss.

About forehead fillers

Overview

Forehead fillers have gained popularity as a non-surgical cosmetic treatment due to their minimally invasive nature and the immediate results they provide. The procedure typically requires approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete, allowing patients to resume their normal activities immediately thereafter. While the results are visible shortly after the treatment, they tend to improve gradually over a period of two to three weeks and may last for up to one year.

Nevertheless, certain dermatologists and plastic surgeons advise against the use of forehead fillers, citing the unique anatomical complexities and associated risks involved in the procedure.

Ideal candidate
Forehead filler can be a good option for people who want to improve their forehead contour, wrinkles and eyebrow position.

Some ideal candidates include:

  • People with volume loss in forehead
  • People who want more structure or definition of brow
  • People with hollowed area in between the eyebrows even though though this area is more risky due to the vessels there.
  • People who want to improve the balance between their upper face and lower face
  • People over 40 who have lost bone density and facial definition due to aging
What to Expect
Patients meet with a professional to discuss their needs prior to the procedure.

The filler is injected by the provider into specific areas like the lateral forehead and medial delivering instant results.

  • The procedure takes about 10-20 minutes
  • Forehead fillers are generally safe especially with cannula use, but no cosmetic procedure is completely risk free. As with any injection there is risk for vascular compromise.
Recovery
It is advised to refrain from disturbing the treated area following a cosmetic procedure. Touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the area can potentially displace the filler or lead to complications.

Additionally, it is recommended to avoid facials or massages for the first two weeks post-treatment.

Similarly, intense physical activity should be minimized for the first 24-48 hours after the procedure. Vigorous exercise can increase blood flow, potentially causing the filler to move from the treatment area.
Results
  • It is advised to wait at least 2-3 weeks for filler to settle before making any adjustments
  • HA filler can last up to 12-24 months based on type of filler used
Safety Profile
  • Hyaluronic acid (HA) is biocompatible and naturally occurring in the body, therefore it does not typically elicit immune responses, however may form nodules in some cases.
  • Additionally, HA fillers demonstrate a favorable safety profile and require minimal downtime.
  • Another feature of HA fillers is the ability to completely dissolve if a complications occurs or undesired effects.
Cost
Cost and amounts vary on individual needs and location.

Average cost for forehead filler start $700 per syringe to $1200 per syringe. Average amount of filler used in forehead filler is 1-3 syringes.
