Fractora RF, developed by InMode, combines microneedling and radiofrequency energy to address skin concerns like fine lines, mild wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation. It can be used on the face, neck, chest, and body, remodeling existing collagen and stimulating new collagen production.
Microneedles penetrate the dermis during treatment, delivering radiofrequency energy at varying depths. This energy induces a wound-healing response, promoting collagen production and cell regeneration, improving skin quality and appearance.
Your provider will customize treatment using:
Collagen, a crucial skin protein, diminishes with age, causing wrinkles and sagging skin. RF microneedling treatments like Fractora RF counteract this decline, promoting collagen regeneration to address aging signs and improve skin tone and texture.
The treatment offers skin tightening and increased toning of lax skin, as well as improvement in skin texture through micro needling and collagen thickening. It provides higher energy levels compared to other devices without causing skin burns, and allows for tissue volumization without the potential damage to facial fat cells.
A typical Fractora RF treatment session lasts between 30 and 45 minutes. The process begins with applying a topical numbing cream to the skin’s surface, which helps minimize discomfort from needle pricks and heat during the procedure. Your provider may ask you to arrive early to allow the numbing cream to take effect (20-30 minutes).
Once the treatment area is sufficiently numb, your provider will use the Fractora RF handpiece with a single-use needle tip, applying pressure to create micro-injuries on the skin. As the needles emit radiofrequency (RF) energy, you may feel pressure and zapping, which some individuals may find mildly painful despite the numbing cream. Depending on your skin concerns, the provider may make one to three passes over the treatment area.
After the treatment, pinpoint bleeding, along with redness and swelling that could last for a day or two, is common. Your provider will offer specific skin care instructions to promote optimal skin healing. It is essential to follow these guidelines, which usually involve avoiding excessive sun exposure and applying sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30+. These precautions help prevent new hyperpigmentation while the skin heals.
Improvements in skin quality may be noticeable after the initial treatment, with results often continuing to progress following subsequent sessions. However, individual experiences may vary, and achieving optimal results may take time. Due to new collagen generation, full benefits can appear three to six months post-treatment.
Although RF microneedling devices are generally safe, improper use by inexperienced practitioners can cause long-term skin damage. Some patients report temporary pinpoint or grid marks that may last several months.
Fractora RF microneedling’s success depends on creating controlled injuries to stimulate natural healing. It’s crucial not to tear the skin or cause heat damage, which can lead to pigmentation issues. Using insulated needles focuses on subdermal tissue, avoiding direct energy on the skin’s surface, reducing heat-induced harm and making it safe for various skin types.
Individuals with melanated skin should request insulated needles to minimize the risk of hyperpigmentation.
$500-$1,000 per treatment session. The cost varies by treatment area, and providers typically recommend three to four sessions.
